Firm History
The Sadler firm, one of Alabama’s oldest law firms, has been a fixture on Birmingham’s legal landscape since William H. Sadler commenced the practice of law after his graduation from the University of Virginia Law School in 1909. By the early 1920s, Mr. Sadler had entered into a partnership with W.J. Nesbit to form the firm of Nesbit & Sadler. In 1938, W.H. Sadler, Jr. joined his father and the firm name became Sadler & Sadler.
The firm’s practice revolves around civil litigation, as well as mediation and arbitration. The firm represents local, national and international businesses, individuals, insurance companies and railroads. Some of these attorney-client relationships have been in existence for over 75 years.
